Prof. Dr. Enver ARPA

 

Prof. Dr. Enver ARPA completed his bachelor degree at Ankara University (1988), his master  education at Jordan University (1994) and his Phd education at Ankara University (2001). Before his academic life, he held various administrative positions in the country and also abroad. In 2017, he was appointed as a lecturer at Ankara Social Sciences University. ARPA, who was the founding director of the Oriental and African Studies Institute, started to work at the University in the same year as the founding directorship of the Regional Studies Institute. In 2020, he was appointed as the coordinator of ASBU Northern Cyprus Campus, which was established in Northern Cyprus, and he still carries out this duty.

He wrote his experiences and impressions he gained during his overseas assignments and conveyed them to the reader. In addition to his books such as "Sudan in African Chess", "African Travel Book", "Virtual World Comments on Life", he has various academic studies on the Islamic World and the African continent. He still continues his research on the violence in the Islamic world.

During his duty as the Head of Department at TIKA, he worked on agriculture and animal husbandry, vocational and technical education, improvement of the health sector, drinking water and sanitation, restoration of the common cultural heritage, etc., for the Middle East and African countries. He managed many development projects in the fields. He has articles and reports on different topics such as foreign aid, development aid, humanitarian aid, development of the health sector, priority in aid and effectiveness of aid. In addition he wrote about schools of thought, religious-political movements, resistance movements, etc. He has studies published in national and international journals and books on the subject.
